Mylan has experienced fast growth. In the mid-2000s the company had a few thousand employees. Then in 2007 it acquired two companies, acquisitions that took it global overnight and quadrupled its employee headcount. To keep up with its growth – and scale into the future - Mylan began a global transformational initiative in 2012. The goal: enable the company to realize its growth goals, which include doubling its manufacturing capacity and product portfolio. The company also wanted to create better alignment and engagement between Mylan IT and its business partners, which meant rethinking how IT engaged with the business.
