Hi Adelle,
I know you're trying to get this off your plate TODAY! :-) So, I'm about to host an impromtu Lab Assist session for another student. I can send you a link if you'd like to join me to discuss.
Adelle! You didn't even ask me about the Is Depr formula, :-) Do you have a question about that still?
Hi Jenny,
I thought you looked at that one and stated that I got it right??

Hi Jennifer other quick question. When I am appending (the Fixed Assets). Once in where you add the column info there are some on the Asset Master Data side that have an asterisk, however on the instructions on page 45 it does not state to add anything for them. But I thought in the instructions that you have to add a value when there is an asterisk. If you would please advise if it is ok to leave blank or not.
Thanks Adelle

Yes, just follow the guide. the asterisk indicates it's an important field/requierd somewhere in the model or reports but you may not have it yet and may not have installed that component yet and that's okay. but it also needs to be taken in context, it means it's required for something at some point but we don't have to have all of them now.
Hi Jenny,
I have problems with coming up with the data relationship for the Cost Source and Fixed Asset??? There are three in total that they both have and I have tried both but I do not get a value to return after choosing each one. I am I missing something?? Please help.
Thanks Adelle

ah. There is 1 thing keeping your dollars from flowing but the relationship is not what I'd recommend either. Let's chat. I'll send you a webex link.
Yes please send link

Hi Jenny,
Last question on the ACME (see below) page 49. The Planned % Allocated is not in the table or can I add??? Please advise did I miss a step or something out???
Append the Acme CP Sub-Tower Mapping to the Cost Source to IT Resource Master Data table mappingthe following:
*cells intentionally left blank for you to fill in
Cost Source to IT Resource Master Data Acme CP S ub-Tower Mapping
% Allocated % Allocated
Cost Center
IT Resource Tower and Sub Tower
Planned % Allocated % Allocated

Yes I did see that but the “Planned % Allocated” is not on the list and I cannot seem to add it???? So it will be there to put % Allocated for it

HI Adelle, I was out of the office last week but if you're still stuck at this point, the table is telling you to map % Allocated to the Planned % Allocated and the note tells you we are using that number because we do not have a planned % to map in that field. You can map a field to be used by more than one field in a master data table.
Hope that helps further.
The main issue is something I told you was correct but i didn't notice the " " and I should have because they matter! Sorry about that.
Look at the formula you wrote for Depreciation Amount. It should not have " " around the word. By adding quotes you're saying put this word in each row for this column.
What we really want it to do is put the value that shows up in the column by that name in each row for this new column.
See why we should meet ;-) lol
