In the guide I cannot get my project Cost and Budget metrics allocations totals to tie to the guide allocations.--P33
just a note too - if helps us help you faster if you can post a link to your project (just copy and paste the web address info in the browser). All instructors will have access to the link but no one else will. Without the link, we have to go look up the information and it takes us longer to assist. Thanks!
Hi Gary, I just checked your project and it appears you must have solved the issue yourself because you have the correct amount of dollars in both cost source cost and budget models. Great work! Let us know if you need any other assistance.
Thanks for the help! I'm having trouble loading the ACME STAFF LIST form the excel files. It's causing errors in my formulas---Thanks Gary
Hey Gary, I"m sorry I am just getting back to you. You happen to have started into these backpacks at an unusual time as we are 1 instructor down( she's only on vacation!) and we've been in team meetings all last week and so a bit more sporadic in our reply timing. I am hosting a lab assist at 8AM EDT tomorrow if you still have questions, feel free to join me there or reply here or create a new posting.
Thanks for getting back. How can I join the lab assist tomorrow? Also, I've attached the link to my work above. I'm almost finished but I can't get the allocations for vendors to show/calc.
Lab Assists can be located in the calendar view in Apptio U OR at the bottom of any backpack page.
I'm looking at your allocation for vendors now.
and thank you for the link!
Please review the answer comments in this listing as they explains the purpose of the data relationship portion of an allocation. the relationship source and destination fields must contain matching values for dollars to flow. Yours are based on the unique identifier in each master data set and I do not expect these would match. You're looking for something they have in common like a vendor Identifying number for example.
the link: Hi ! I'm stuck on page 46 of the "Installing and Configuring CTF Guide R12 ". I can't figure out how to fill in the data relationship in the distributing section. I think I didn't understand what's the point of it. Can you help me please ? (https://intern
Hi Jenny---I figured out the last issue I had. I've completed the configuring CT but my budget totals do not match---showing 0 for labor budget. I've been combing through formulas.
The budget model is using the out of the box allocation the guide suggests you update the allcoation on pages 40-43. I believe that currently your budget data does not supply the information needed to fulfill the formula that is in the out of the box key column. If you change your allocation to the values explained in the guide on the pages above, I expect that may solve the problem.
actually, no that is not the issue. the issue is that the allocation in the budget model is weighted by Planned Headcount and there is no value in that column. See if you have a value to map into Planned Headcount and if not, you can removed the weighting or if appropriate make the planned headcount =labor headcount (this is making the assumption that we are on target)
