Hi, I am in the below link, thanks
Hi Melinda McCrary, I have reset the module Assignment - 04a Upload a screenshot of your Model Report so you should now be able to resubmit your screenshot. Please let me know if you appear unable to re-upload your submission and I'm happy to help.
Should I amend the model to get the desired results as per pdf.
Hi Narendra, I am taking a look at this now.
If you collapse the Vendors tier in your model, I believe you will have the same results as the guide.
Did all of your objects contain matching dollar amounts on the cost model?
As I stepped through the PDF w/the model, I noticed that the data was yielding different results, even though I was following the instructions. (For example, the totals by location in the PDF varied from what I was seeing when modeling.)
Finally, on the exercise -- I was only able to get to: $189,477 by filtering on Cost Source for Cost Center = CC-340, versus filtering on the Fixed Asset for Cost Center CC-340. However the amounts shown for Storage and Compute are different than what is shown in the answer key even though they total to $189,477.
I'm not sure if I should move forward in the lesson plan at this point.
Could you paste a link to your project for me to see.
Jenny – Thanks. Here is a link to my model.
Hi Melinda, the reason your numbers are different for the Fixed Asset locations is because you utilized the out of the box key as the relationship between cost source and fixed assets the guide used cost center. This means although the same number of dollars are recognized as fixed assets in each project, the way those dollars are distributed among the fixed assets is different. This is why you have different values. You can go back to the guide and review the instructions for defining the fixed asset allocation. Let us know if you have questions once you look at it.
Jenny - I'm on the right path now. Is there an opportunity to resubmit the screenshot w/my my results?
I'm adding Megan Beasley here. She can fix it so you can resubmit your screenshot. I believe she'll have to mark the first one as failed to do so but don't worry, when you upload the new one you'll get full credit. Can you verify what course this is for? It looks like it's one of the first three backpacks. However, I looked it up based on your link above and it looks like the project is named Wolters? Is that correct?
I was taking the 2nd of the 3 courses, “Configuring your Model and Allocations in R12.”
The interesting thing about my user account – is that it appears to have someone else’s project as well as mine. My project is Acme McCrary. But, yes – there is actually an Acme Wolters that is also accessible via the user account that I was provided.
Ah yes, I see yours in there now too. Perhaps that's the person who had the environment before you and it just didn't get deleted properly. I can see that the environment has been assigned to you. I can remove that extra project if you'd like but it shouldn't hurt anything. Once the password was reset for you that other person lost access to the environment.
Debbie – I know to go select my project so having Acme Wolters in my environment hasn’t been a problem.
Thanks for all of your help!
Megan – It worked! Thank-you very much.
