Request help with trouble shooting allocation strategy (Fixed Asset), page 51. Thanks.
Thank you for including the link Lei. I will take a look at this now.
So far, this is what I've found Lei. The Fixed Asset to ITRT allocation is based on a data relationship. This means that the value that exists in each the source column and the destination column need to match in at least some rows. This particular allocation is based on an out of the box column that contains a formula. The value that is being generated by that formula in each of Master Data tables is not creating matching values. In order to figure out what is wrong, we need to go to the formula and see what it's doing.
Below is a screen shot of the table displayed in the allocation window that shows me that you do not have matching values. The source values contains 2 variables and the destination values contain 3 variables.
Now I'm going to look what the formula is asking for and will check those inputs...
Thank you. This has been resolved.

If you look at the formula in the Fixed Asset Master data you see this:
The value being generated in the Destination master data had 3 values and they looked like the first 3 variables in this formula. We were missing 1 of those in the Source column values. So, I checked the mapping in the append step and sure enough the field mapped into the IT Resource Sub-Tower field was missing a space and therefore it doesn't see that column therefore, it had no value. To prevent this type of error I recommend choosing the field from the drop down and it will give you exactly the columns that exist in your data with the same column type as the field you are mapping into. It this ensure you are mapping to a column that is of the same type and has the correct spelling as the field in your data.
I did not save this update in your project so you could experience the joy of making the dollars flow! :-)
